Country-crooner and bluegrass picker extraordinaire visits Cabot for a rare solo performance on May 9th. Brett has been a mainstay in the Burlington music community for decades. He spent years hosting the ever-popular "Honky Tonk Tuesdays" at Radio Bean. The number of bands he has worked with over the years is staggering, including but not limited to the Chrome Cowboys, Belle Pines, Cider House Boys, viperHouse, Mike Gordon And Ramble Dove, Whiskey Likkers, The Decentz, Fortune Tellers, All Fall Down and a great many more. Brett sings with the pep, energy and tone that simply screams bluegrass, in all the best ways. While Brett is decades deep in the industry and still sings like it's day one. He has cited a number of influences for his style, including George Jones, Merle Haggard, The Delmore Brothers, Bill Monroe, Johnny Cash and his own mother.

Spring Volunteer Cleanup Day

This is a great opportunity to come together, reconnect or meet new, likeminded people, and work towards a common goal in support of the quality care of our rescued residents by providing them with a safe, clean and healthy environment. The tasks that we take on during this day will contribute to the present and future wellbeing of the animals, and the quality future of the Sanctuary.
There will be a brief tour beginning at 9:30 a. m. Please park in the Inn parking lot to the left of the brick building and walk in to the Sanctuary yard.
Our projected schedule for the day:
9-9:15: Arrive and check-in
10-12:00: Work
12-12:30: Lunch time
12:30-2:00: Final work segment
We cannot guarantee what the weather will be like, so please be prepared with layers, rain jacket or rubber boots. Please bring a lunch and snack. This event is open to everyone aged 12 and up. We do require that children/teens aged 12-18 yrs old have an adult present and working with them.

3rd Annual Rail Trail & Ale 5K

Please join us for a fun 5K run/walk/bike along the scenic Lamoille Valley Rail Trail. Participants will receive a commemorative pint glass filled with their choice of craft or root beer.
The 5K will begin at Goodfella's Restaurant and Tavern and proceed along the rail trail, ending at Goodfella's. The bicyclists will leave from Goodfella's, go to St. Johnsbury, and return to Goodfella's (approximately 13 miles round trip).
Registration is $25. Pre-register to guarantee your commemorative glass, or register on the day of the event.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Northeast Kingdom Cancer Action Network (NEKCAN).

Rockin' Out for Humanity Benefit Dance

Spring Dance Recital & NHSDA Induction Ceremony

This spring’s performance will feature students in the Jazz Dance class, Modern Dance class, Improvisation/Compositions class, Dance History class, Dance Techniques & Elements class, and the audition based LI Dance Company as well as the contemporary dance club, pointe club, hip hop club, and tap club. Choreographies will not just showcase learning in the foundational studies of dance technique and artistry (specifically the art of and various styles/forms of modern and jazz dance studies) but this spring recital will demonstrate students skills and knowledge utilizing the use of the elements of dance (time, space and energy) to highlight understanding and communication of the evolution of dance, cultural inspirations in American dance, and personal relations of identity through the expression of movement.

Legislative Breakfast
