The monthly programs provide area business people and residents an overview of the legislative session and concerns affecting the region. The public is invited to attend and encouraged to ask questions. The Northeast Kingdom Chamber organizes the monthly forums and will provide a brief legislative report.
The breakfasts are held the last Monday of each month, from 8 to 9 a.m. Please mark your calendars for the 2012 dates of Feb. 27, March 26 and May 21. (The April Breakfast cancelled.)
The legislative breakfast series is sponsored by the Northeast Kingdom Chamber, with sponsorship assistance from Community National Bank, MMIC, NVRH, Passumpsic Savings Bank and Union Bank. There is a small fee to attend the breakfast.

Covers the Basics of Starting a Business
Starting your own business can be both challenging and fulfilling. Find out how to get the right start on your idea with the Vermont Small Business Development Center's workshop. The course covers assessing the feasibility of starting your business, legal requirements, financing issues, risk assessment and an introduction to the all-important business plan. $40 per participant ($45 for 2 if a business partner wishes to attend).
